1. Create Copilot agent

Click on “Create blank agent”

Add the name and description of your copilot agent. Also, select the agent’s model for responding.

Also, give your agent instructions to perform its major tasks.

  • Respond professionally to customer emails 
  • Fetch business-related information from Business Central 
  • Answer only based on provided knowledge sources

  • Escalate unsupported queries when needed

2. Add Knowledge:

In the Knowledge section of Copilot, we can source from where our agent will respond to the queries. 
Click on the “Add Knowledge” option to add knowledge. We can add files, SharePoint folders, Dataverse, and many more.

I have added a file which contains data on business hours and return policies of products.

Apart from files and SharePoint, businesses can also connect:

3. Add Tools:

In this section, we can add different tools to make our agent fetch data from it and share it with the user. 
Here I have added Business Central find record and send email Outlook as a tool.

4. Triggers:

Here in this section, we must specify the trigger event when we need our copilot agent to get activated. 

Here in our case, we must trigger/activate our Copilot agent when we receive any email on our outlook. For that, we have to select the Power Automate trigger named “When a new email arrives (V3)” trigger.

5. Publish Agent:

Once all the configuration is complete, publish your created Agent.
